The Philosophy of Ennstal-Classic: The Alps, the Friends, the Clock and the Time:
The Alps
Forming the scenery of the Ennstal-Classic with their bewitching pass-roads, endlessly winding road-bends, their gorges and valleys, from there one will spiral upwards to the peaks through rain and mist.
The Friends
They are shaping the spirit and the atmosphere as the real capital of the Ennstal-Classic. The company museums of Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Auto Union, Saab, Jaguar and BMW are displaying their family-treasures in our showcase. Networks of friendship have emerged from the euphoria of this event spreading out as far as Australia and the start-lists turned into a "Who is who? of motor-sports:
Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Niki Lauda. Walter Röhrl, Derek Bell, David Coulthard, Eddie Irvine, Jochen Mass, Herbert Linge, Peter Falk, Paul Ernst Strähle, Georg Meier, Helmut Marko, Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle, Wolfgang Porsche, Rauno Aaltonen, Hannu Mikkola, Erik Carlsson, as well as theater- and TV-favourites like Peter Kraus, Klaus Wildbolz, Tobias Moretti and ski-legends like Franz Klammer, Marc Giradelli, Hans Knauss and Hermann Maier were rolling down the start ramp in Gröbming.
The Clock
Being the standard, the sentence, the selection and the challenge. Ticking in the cockpits it is marked by ambition, when timing the sparks of hundreds of seconds.
... and the Time
being quasi abolished for four days, the past is becoming the present. It is entrusting the vehicles as cultural possessions to our care for marveling and admiration of those people being linked inseparably with these developments.
