Description of Coppa Dalla Favera Historic Rally:
Following the celebration of its 25th anniversary (coinciding with the fourth commemoration), the Dalla Favera Cup is already regarded from motoring fans as an outstanding show of historical reliability trials ("Regolarita autostoriche") due both to the difficult journey and to the beauty of the landscape. The motor race had its beginning in 1956 and was instituted by the Padua "Automobile Club" to commemorate the young driver of promise Mario Dalla Favera, who tragically died in an accident during a race. At that time the Dalla Favera Cup was considered the Italian "Montecarlo" and, from then on, it always came up to the full expectations of snowy roads' drivers who regularly make the most of it. A new road will be marked out this year, passing through hitherto unknown locations achievable by highly likely snowy secondary routes. Furthermore, a special test will take place on a snowy track (with real or artificial snow) so as to allow contestants to drive safely their own car while having a wonderful time. Departing from the historically remarkable wooden "Alpini" bridge in Bassano del Grappa, the contestants will drive through 350 kilometers dotted with remote mountain passes and valleys, to reach in the late evening Asiago, well-known mountain resort located in the middle of the plateau named after it. The closing event of the day will be the dinner hosted at the prestigious and fascinating "Meltar Golf Resort" where the contestants will have a chance to relate their own adventures and exchange views and ideas on such an eventful occurrence.
