As one of the UK’s premier race tours on the classic racing calendar, Tour Britannia has long established i... moreWith less than a month to go before the starting lights go out on 2011 Tour Britannia, the organisers are looking forward to a bumper entry. As one of the UK’s premier race tours on the classic racing calendar, Tour Britannia has long established itself as a must-do annual event among its enthusiastic competitors. Taking place over the long weekend of 17-19 June, this year’s course will take in Pembrey, Castle Combe and Silverstone race circuits and Prescott Hill Climb together with numerous other tarmac stages. The 2011 competitors will also be the first to use the newly-unveiled pit facilities at Silverstone, a month before the Formula One grid arrives for the British Grand Prix. The widespread appeal of Tour Britannia is also reflected in the strong cross-section of entries including everything from a Mini Cooper and MGB up to a Ferrari 250GTO and no less than five Porsche 911 RSRs.
