In this issue:
Two regional stage championships for historic
rally cars are set to blossom in 2007 as interest
in the Dunlop/Gambia MSA British Historic Rally
Championship hits record levels.
Both championship will allow regional competition for all
categories of historic cars, and offer
lower cost events that will particularly appeal to those
starting out in historic rallying as well as more
experienced crews. Many of the events can be contested
without the need for overnight stays, thus further
reducing the cost of competing. Some crews are already
planning to take in a mix of local events and selected
rounds of the BHRC.
The HRCR Northern Stage Rally Championship
goes into it's second season, having been won in 2006 by
the ex-Roger Clark Escort Mk1 of Dave Watkins. In 2007,
the seven-round calendar will start with the Robin Hood
Stages on 10/11 March and conclude on the Malton Stages in
November.
