After many attempts to find a suitable solution for the European crews that were experiencing significant difficulties to obtain the necessary insurance coverage for their historic vehicles, the organization of the
Classic Rally Canada had to seriously reexamine the 2006 edition of the
classic rally. A solution was identified, however sufficient time to process the documentation of each vehicle was not available. Following many detailed discussions with our rally partners, the authorities of Customs Canada, our rally suppliers and within the organization, we made the essential decision to postpone
Classic Rallye Canada until our next scheduled dates, in the autumn of 2007, that we had been prepared to announce at the conclusion of the 2006 edition. Crews that had been registered for the 2006 edition can choose to be reimbursed accordingly or transfer their participation to the 2007 edition with an added excellent incentive package made available through the collaboration of our gracious partners and sponsors.
The priority is to produce a quality
regularity rally for all involved in the beautiful regions of Quebec.
Classic Rallye Canada will take place from Saturday, September 15 - Sunday, September 23, 2007.
The organization has made preparations to simplify the process of the required formalities for international crews and their cars to participate in the regularity rally in Canada.
Classic Rallye Canada can recommend the service of an insurance broker that will examine each request and prepare an insurance policy for eligible international historic vehicles to whom all the required documentation of the vehicle and the owner/driver must be submitted with the participation request form.
Classic Rallye Canada is pleased to have already received requests for participation in the 2007 edition.
The rally sponsors and partners have been exceptional.
Classic Rallye Canada would like to express its appreciation especially to the Casino de Montréal, Tourisme Québec, Lifesize, Voitures Anciennes du Québec, Kelkorp and Canstart, specifically, for their support throughout the various preparation stages this year. The selected rally hotels, Delta Centre-Ville, Le Westin Resort & Spa, the Fairmont hotels and Hôtel Sacacomie have shown their creativity and professionalism for the hotel activities to be presented for the rally participants and special guests that would have showcased highlights of each region of Quebec.
Classic Rallye Canada has been fortunate to collaborate with dedicated sponsors, partners, suppliers and colleagues to help enhance the activities of this rally and its associated events. The preparations made this year serve as an excellent foundation for the 2007 edition of
Classic Rallye Canada. The specific details will soon be presented and we invite you to visit the website again for official news and information.
The 2007 Classic Rallye Canada will be held from 15th to 23rd, Spetember 2007.
